Personal background
I am the founding father of SETI Sverige [Sweden] (since 2002)
Late 2006, I recieved a mail that Anders was interested in becoming leader of this group, and early 2007 I gave him complete control. My only wish is for the logo to remain the same, and some of my ideas (if they are compatible with Anders).

Many years ago (maybe 3 years), I wrote the following:

"I, Johan, think I will become something great when I grow up, but I have very little planned. I am interested in the environment and may very well become "eco-friendly" or something, but using 3 computers 24/7 means that I'm not off for a very good start though..."

Since that time, I have grown. I have spent the last three or four years trying to find my true self, something I forgot as a child for reasons still unknown.

It is important to love others, for me the problem was showing this love. When love found me, and I found love, it was not difficult anymore. I love who I am, and that is important. Only by truly loving yourself can you truly love, reach and touch other people.

Dinner is served, my father yells. Honor your parents :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I no longer run SETI@home. I decided to put my focus elsewhere, on people around me in particular.

The project is interesting, and the idea of sharing computers that are up and running is fantastic! Some people have computers running for the sole reason of crunching data, which I think is utterly useless. We need to conserve energy...

I also believe that we, not aliens, are meant to solve the problems we have, and problems that we cannot yet percieve fully. I'm talking about alot of problems.

So, if you only run SETI because you think we need help from them (aliens), I want you to make a change yourself, quit being kicked around, begin living the way you want to, not the way society tells us.

When I was a few years younger, I often gazed upon the starry skies (although there is lightpollution). I wanted the aliens to come down and give me the tools to change the world for the better, because I wanted the world to change, and I felt I could make a difference, had the aliens just come down, pick me up and improve my brain a little. I cannot recall ever being abducted, maybe they didn't.
