Profile: Father Christopher

Personal background
I was a retired Catholic priest, "was" is the key word here. In 2011 a group asked if I would return to New Mexico to establish a new religious order based on serving homeless veterans with an assisted living facility, most with six months, or less in which to live. We have managed to finally catch the attention of the City of Albuquerque and they are working to convey a very, very large lot to us in the Old Town, our tourist area, section of the city. We have been working on that project for the past four years.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
In addition to that property, we are in the process of purchasing a two acre property with a three bedroom, two bath, two car garage of 1580 sq. ft. The interior is finished with a wood beam ceiling and a corner fireplace. The kitchen is as wonderful as the rest. To. make a long story short, we will have an observatory on the property. Not being a Jesuit, I would never have been chosen to work at either of the Vatican observatories. Now, we will have one of our own, a bit more scaled down, however.

This is a project which benefits all mankind, asking the question "Are we alone?" as the search continues. As vast as this universe is, there can be little doubt we are the only life forms out there. That the various political venues of this rock, hanging in space time, do not get together in union to advance mankind into an era where no weapons exist as no enemies exist, an era where the reptilian brain does not operate to its end.
