| I am a 22 yr old female from Manitoba Canada. I used to do tech support for AT&T Worldnet, but right now I am not working. My hobbies are swimming, biking, walking, hiking, reading, writing, drawing, playing videogames and probably lots of other things I can't think of right now. I have a cat, he is a cute cat, and sometimes he is like my best friend.well, that's all I can think to put here. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I beleive that there is life out there, somewhere... Just because we can not see as far as possible out there, does not mean others do not exsist. There may also be other worlds where they are like us in some ways. Unable to explore all that far, and wondering if anthing else is out there.
Some of the dangers of finding other life out there... think about it... we all live on this planet, yet all around the world there is hate and war, people killing people. First off, that will not be a good impression to make, what will they think of us. Second, if they are hostile, is just one more thing for all of us to worry about. I can not see the world uniting to face a threat, if that unity was needed, as sad as that is. Some of the benifits might be what we could learn from them. The possiblities of what they may know and could teach us is limitless.
I run Seti@home because I think it is for a good cause. I am not sure if I believe we will find anyhting this way, but since there is a possibility that we might, I am glad to offer my computer to help. |
