| I became interested in de S@H project because of an article I read in a Dutch magazine in the beginning 2000. Because I was allways interested in the possibility of ETI it didn't take me long to download the client and crunch on. I run S@H because i'm intriged with the possibility, how small it may be, that we would really find something. Allthough it is not likeley we can communicate it would be great to know we are not alone. Thoughts about ETI? Well, since i am a real Trekkie, I hope that we will be spotted by a race like the Vulcans. That way we can benefit from a higher intelligence. But, knowing that is only fiction, i just hope we will find friendlies. There is always a change that a ETI who finds us is not really friendly. I think we have been transmitting more then enough signals into space. But what if the first thing they pick up from us is a episode of the Jerry Springer show? I don't think they will be very eager to make contact in that case. I don't think humanity is ready for contact. We don't have our own stuff in order. War, starvation etc. To be a member of a bigger whole, we must first be united ourselfs. Well, we'll see what the future brings. Anyway, i'm crunching more data because you just never know...... |
