Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Humans will discover extraterrestrial life in couple of years. I think, that the SETI-project and the SETI-network is an essential part of the discovering of this kind of life.
When we send them a beacon, we must try to guarantee that the provided information is not able to provoke the aliens.
I recommend that we send them information about ourselves and about the different kinds ("races") of human beeing. Of course we must send them pictures and videos from our wonderful nature. But must also send them how we treat our planet (environmental contamination ) and about the treatment of the animals (extinction). The most important thing is that we send them a help, how they will find us. And me must send the beacon to an area, where the probability bounds is to find aliens. And for this, SETI is the best partner to find this area.
I run SETI because I want to help to get in touch with the extraterrestrial life at it first time.
