Personal background |
I'm just me...a laid back 46-year-old male who is employed in the medical field. With a little luck, the employment thing will be changing from contract associate to full time.
To sum up my life in as few words as possible...I am me. If you want me to be somebody other than me, you won't get that.
I'll close with this: Life is too short to worry about small things; mean people s*ck, and cold beer is great!
If you want to know anything else, just ask...:) |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I run SETI@home in hopes that my computer will be the one that gets a significant find.
My views about the project are great! I like the project and intend on supporting it as much as I can.
Suggestions would be a simple one: Although I have a VERY LIMITED knowledge of computers and networking, there are some members of SETI@home who have ZERO knowledge of terminology - words like RAID, jocelyn, mysql, etc... When I see words I have no idea what they mean, I usually ask what they mean. However, there may be members who won't ask. The suggestion is this: Go a little easier on the technical lingo so even a fifth grader could understand what's being talked about. And yes, there are probably some fifth graders that know more about computers than I do, so that's why I used "a fifth grader" reference. |
