Profile: Idylle

Personal background
From the province of Quebec (Canada). I just moved up to the 48th north and sure hope to get signals easier than down south.

I'm a 45 years old french canadian. I'm a civil servant. I was introduced to Seti feb.9th 2002 and I'm so curious that I could not pass over this opportunity to enlarge my horizon.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I do think that extraterrestrial life exists. I beleive they were here and left because humanity was not ready to communicate with them. I beleive they will come back when they get our signal wich will warn them that our technology is ready to receive their's. I only see the benefits of that accounter because I beleive in the goodness not only of mankind, but of all those in search of getting closer to other 'species'. Why should they arm us? They allready have more they we do.

2. I don't think we should transmit anything without making sure it is well received and comprehend by others. Their technology is probably more advanced so let them find us through any waves they can catch from us. They will catch those coming from SETI. I'm not worried a bit about it.

3. Right now, let them know we're looking for them. Let them find us: they will communicate when they fell we are ready to receive them.
