Personal background
Originally I am from Long Island, NY. I grew up out East for most of my life, and then decided to pack it up and move West. It's the best thing I've done in my life. I work as a programmer analyst for the University of California. My interests include mountain biking, photography, Ham radio, astronomy, guitar, and snowboarding.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run seti@home, because I am big believer in there being other life forms out there, or who knows, what could possibly utilizing the forces of nature to send what we humans call electromagnetic waves. The universe is just too big to only have one intelligent race.

The seti@home project is great idea, and I think it offers us a unique and effective way to passively search for ET life. I appreciate radio astronomy, because I am a licensed amateur radio operator.
