Personal background
Hello!

Im a 25 year old guy from Norway who recently got a bachelor degree in Architeture and art history at the university of Oslo. I Currently work at a reality tv-show production company.

Astronomy has allways been a big part of my life ever since I first watched the X-files. I know, I know, the tv-show has pritty much to nothing to do with reality but it sure caught my attention when I was a kid. From early on I used a lot of my spare time learing about the planets in our solar system and close by galaxies. I think that the search for documentation of dark matter and energy is a cool subject to study and I'm so glad that CERN is getting closer to answer some of the most fundamental questions of science. My favourite object in the sky is the Andromeda galaxy. It stands out so much to me and is a fascinating object to look at. The thought that we're looking 2,5 billions years back in time sure makes my mind go all over the place. Who knows, maybe looking at Andromeda is like looking at the milkyway's reflection? That is how our galaxy might look like! My thought about the universe is a never ending story so I'll just stop just about here.

I conciderate myself as a hardcore hobby astronomer and I keep myself updated on a daily basis about the latest astronomy news. Hopefully, one day, I can get my own pro-telescope!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
First of all, I must say that SETI is one of the most important organisation in our modern history. I can not describe how much I disagree with those who sees SETI and other space programs as a waste of money. In long term, the work that is beeing done now, will have a great significance to our future. We might not see the results of such work during our lifetime, but the future generations will see and appreciate the importance of those who founght for their beliefs and hope that we are not alone.
