マリオ・リンキース。1963年ドイツ・ライプツィヒ生まれ。フンボルト大学ベルリンにて財政、銀行業及び貿易を学ぶ。最初に執筆した学術論文で北米自由貿易協定をドイツ語訳し、ディプロム論文（日本での修士論文に相当）においても同テーマをとり上げる。1989年夏ハンガリー経由で数千人の若者たちと共に東ドイツを離れ、1994年にカナダ・オンタリオ州に移住する。現在は国際的なアドバイザリーファームであるLINKIES.マネジメントコンサルティング(LINKIES.Management Consulting)を経営。リスクマネジメントを専門としたビジネスコンサルタントとしての立場から執筆活動を行い、その著書は英語、ドイツ語、日本語で出版されている。またパブリティ・パフォーマンス有限会社（publity Performance GmbH）の監査役員を務めている。その一方で60ヵ国にわたる旅行の間に詩、短編小説の執筆も行っており、写真、絵画、音楽の分野においても精力的な活動を続けている。ライプツィヒにある現代詩協会(Gesellschaft für zeitgenössische Lyrik e.V. in Leipzig)のメンバー。また、カナダのオークビルとドイツのライプツィヒを拠点としている。

Mario Linkies was born in 1963 in Leipzig. He studied at Humboldt University in Berlin finance, banking, and foreign trade. His first scientific topics, the German translation of the North American Free Trade Agreement NAFTA and diploma paper connected him with Canada. In summer 1989, he left with thousands of other young people on the way the GDR via Hungary. In 1994, Mario Linkies immigrated to the Canadian Province of Ontario. Today, Mario Linkies is an entrepreneur and heads up the international advisory firm LINKIES. Management Consulting. One of the topics is risk management in scientific research. As a business consultant for risk management and SAP access control, he has published several books in English, German, and Japanese. Mario Linkies is a Member of the Supervisory Board of the publity Performance GmbH. Besides these, the author has written hundreds of poems, short stories and fables that have arisen during his travels in over 60 countries. The artist works as a poet, photographer, painter, and musician. He is a member of the Society for Contemporary Poetry Association in Leipzig. He lives in Oakville, Canada and Leipzig, Germany.

Mario Linkies wurde 1963 in Leipzig geboren. Er hat an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin Finanz- und Bankwirtschaft sowie Außenhandel studiert. Seine ersten wissenschaftlichen Themen und die Diplomarbeit berührten ihn mit der deutschen Übersetzung des nordamerikanischen Freihandelsabkommens NAFTA und mit Kanada. Im Sommer 1989 verließ er mit Tausenden anderen Jugendlichen die DDR auf dem Weg über Ungarn. Im Jahre 1994 immigrierte Mario Linkies in die kanadische Provinz Ontario. Heute ist Mario Linkies Unternehmer und leitet die internationale Beratungsgruppe LINKIES. Management Consulting. Eines der Themen ist Risikomanagement bei Wissenschaftsunternehmen. Als Unternehmensberater für Risikomanagement und SAP-Berechtigungskontrolle hat er mehrere Fachbücher in deutscher, englischer und japanischer Sprache veröffentlicht. Mario Linkies ist Mitglied des Aufsichtsrats der publity Performance GmbH. Neben diesen hat der Autor Hunderte von Gedichten, Fabeln und Kurzgeschichten geschrieben, die während seiner Reisen in über 60 Ländern entstanden sind. Als Künstler ist Mario Linkies als Lyriker, Fotograf, Maler und Musiker tätig. Der Poet ist Mitglied der Gesellschaft für zeitgenössische Lyrik e.V. in Leipzig. Er lebt in Leipzig, Deutschland und Oakville, Kanada.
