My name is Michael Fleming. I am a dual-citizen between the USA (and Navy Veteran!) and Brazil. I have just ended my Navy career and am now studying Computer Science at Indiana State University.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I first heard about the SETI program through Coast-to-Coast AM with Art Bell. And after that I was inspired by my late grand-mother.
I love how SETI@home is available to the public, allowing all of us to contribute what we can. I run SETI@home on my desktop when I am at home, and on my laptop when I am traveling.
The only thing I do not like is that my desktop uses an AMD GPU, so I cannot reap the benefit of it! But at least my laptop has an Nvidia 8800m GTS so it helps a bit!
