| I am a sixty-eight year old retired man living on a small farm near Springfield, MO. I retired from Missouri State University after twenty years of service. I enjoy flying, gardening, caring for my many animals, back packing, kayaking and living history reinactment. I am a strict vegetarian and follow the teachings of Sidhartha Gautama(The Buddha). |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I believe that we are not alone in the Universe, and that it would be rather arrogant of us to believe so. Our pre-occupation with our importance has lead us to many illogical assumptions about other worlds and their possible intelligent life forms. Taking into consideration the "Drake" equation, one finds a million possible Earth like planets within our galaxy alone. Thereby elevating "possible to "probable". It is for this very reason that I run Seti@home. |
