I've been running SETI for a couple of decades. Have another account, and due to computer issues over time, lost the ability to access that account.
Mankind would be so vain as to think we are the only ones in the universe. While I consider making contact a possible crapshoot, still believe it wouldn't be a bad thing to find out the truth as to how we arrived on Earth.
SETI is our best hope for contact. It needs to remain operating, otherwise we'll never know the truth.
