Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think EL does exist. On balance, I think that such evidence such as SETI@HOME is searching for will be the way it is discovered, eventually (I pray within my life time!!) I have no strong opinion on what the dangers / benefits are - simply that IF it exitsts, then it does and the knowledge would ultimately be enriching. The dangers and benefits will be what WE make of them, I believe. The richness and scope of existence would be magically and beautifully expanded by the simple knowledge that other life - especially sentient life - exits, not to mention the enormous growth of such that would occur IF this experience could be shared and communicated between different species / life forms / ways of being. After all, from my reading, we all are "star stuff" and so would any other life be. I truly hope I am around to see it , hear about it and maybe share in it some way!!!
