| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run Seti@home because I think it is a very noble cause. I would like to think that if we are able to make contact with another type of being from the cosmos, they will be more like the scientific minds in the movie "Contact" and not so much like the "War of the Worlds" variety.
I am happy to be part of such a project and hope that everyone with a computer will find some cause to champion even if it is not Seti. At the end of the day it can only help expand our knowledge. And knowledge truly is power.
Plus, on a totally novel aspect, I do enjoy being able to say from time to time, "Hey Sir Art sent me an email today. You get anything cool in yours?"
