Personal background
I am a Computer programmer

well aged at 27

Residing in Jersey City, NJ, USA

I have been looking to contribute towards something more big and more important in order to make a difference in the world and have a better fealing of being alive.

Concerning the events that have taken place in New York City, my heart is heavy. Being a close neighbor to NYC, I am lucky to have experienced the grandure of the World Trade Center towers as viewd from our local park, Liberty State Park. I have experience the excitement and exuberance of rush hour as commuters traversed through the Tower's lower levels in their dedication to reaching their work offices. I have reached closer to the moon and stars while standing atop on the observation deck.

To my horror and utmost surprise, the World Trade Center was wipped out by a giant wave of terrorists. I clearly remember the moment in time when i was notified of such a horrid, cowardice acts as colliding a civil airliner into these towers. On this day i woke up too late for work and ran out the door to reach the office on time. In my state of haziness i strongly beleived that the shocking news was a dream. It wasn't until i got on the web and verified the stories that i came face to face with my fears. The Twins were struck, the Twins were taken away.

I am proud and honored by the dedication of the American people in wanting to contribute help. Be it blood, food, materials, money, prayers, or direct physical aid, you all deserve a round of applause and the right to wave that American flag high with pride. I have seen a love for country and man that surpasses any other. Your love has helped me overcome my hate and i thank you for that.

I pray for the victims and their families.

I pray for the rescuers.

I pray for all Americans.

I pray for all the world.
I pray God Bless America.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI is an exciting program. I look forward to finding life out there in the universe. I only hope this life is a friendly one. I watch too many movies and fear the worst. If we do not discover life, but instead discover other unique properties of the universe, then we have succeeded with this project. ET may not be out there looking for us, but we could accidently come accros the concept of realizing warp speed, for example, while searching for ET. This would be a positive side effect of the SETI@home program.

When the history books explain how the world united in their attempt to finding E.T. I will be proud in saying.. "I was there! I did that! And i feel darned good about it too!" Eventhough my contribution may be a minute percentage of the workload, I, nonetheless, feel good in contributing. I have been with this program since it's beginning. I don't boast having the best or fastest computer, but i do boast in being a part of something more grand than my simple life. Someday my children will enjoy the benefits of the work and effort we are putting in.
