Personal background
I'm a gamer, raver, musician that has more free time than I like the moment. I have 4 top notch systems that I cycle throughout the day and week and let the SETI projects run. The more we do the closer mankind comes to unlocking global conciousness. Yeah I know it sounds crazy, but people only thing about themselves. Even Americans don't like ourselves, how many of your neighbors do you really like? Do you help random strangers? You never know when said stranger would turn upon you. That being said, the day we realise we are not alone in the galaxy we can turn our attentions to mankind for the first time. Anywho, join up, every PC we can get helps!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1> I run it as there are too many objects in space that need to be scanned. If we all combine our PC power we can create reach a higher rate of progress. By working together we stand a chance to scan much more things faster and increase the chances of success.

2> I think the project is great. I just wish there was more feedback as to I am sure that there isn't much data so far that points to anything. And even if there was, I wonder if the government would cover it up anyways. But it doesn't hurt to try, and we have already beamed messages into space, so if there is something else out there, it will find us. That being said, we best be looking for it, or them rather, we don't really know what to expect until we find it.

3> Like I mentioned before, maybe if there was more feedback. Maybe I am missing something in the logs, or maybe there is a rating system to the packets you get. But I think it would be interesting to learn a bit about the data you processed. But again, I assume nothing was found or otherwise something would be said.
