Profile: The Godfather

Personal background
Hello. I am Will and I work as a network tech for a large multinational company. I enjoy reading, playing guitar, and watching baseball and I love the SETI project. I just thought it would be fun to help out and volunteer my extra processor time.
I think soon I will set up an extra server at home just to run the SETI@Home. I know it is a long shot to find much of anything, but we will never know until we try. =)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
What are the point of the work credits? Are they just tracking of the people donating the most amount of CPU time? If so, why not something that one can trade work credits for, like some books or something?

I like the project a lot and love to help out!
