Personal background
I studied Astrophysics at London University and am a Fellow of the B.I.S..I have 5 children who are all excited by astrophysical events and we believe the search for intelligent life elsewhere is one of the worthiest and most interesting endeavours. The mathematical analysis of the Arecibo data happens toinvolve some of the most beautiful functions and theorems and it is awesome to observe these grand tools in action .We are very grateful for the opportunity to participate in seti@home and to have access to the empirical progress of the search
