I have always been facinated with what the SETI project is all about. Somewhere out there ... among all those stars ... there has to be some other form of life. Intelligent or not, they are out there and it should be our goal to listen for them.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think that extraterrestrial life exists. You can't tell me that within this whole universe that we are the only ones. True these other life forms may have 5 heads and 20 tentacles ... but I think it would benefit mankind to have the question answered: Is there other life out there? Hey, they could even be party animals or LAN party junkies!!
I run Seti@Home because I believe it is my duty as a human being (although some of my friends may argue that statement jokingly) to help out in any way I can to search for other life.
When you look up into the night sky, doesn't it make you wonder what's out there?
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
