I am a middle-aged retired Coast Guard person.
I spent many nights at sea gazing at the universe...best place to do it on this planet with absolutely no light pollution.
Got a computer. It needs work. Gave it SETI. It loves it.
Hopefully it will find that speck I know is bouncing towards us.
My philosophy on this is: It is too egotistical to believe that we are the only species God made. I do believe science and theology are intertwined. Once contact is made, the extremists at both poles will realize this truth.
I live in a town called Pace in Florida in the USA. It is not far from Pensacola up in the panhandle of the state.
Heritage-wise...Anglo-Dutch.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Because it is the neatest thing since sliced bread!
2. My view is to listen.
3. Need updates!!!!! Send some!!!!
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
