| I'm 52 years old, work as a civilian for the US military in Europe and enjoy astronomy as a hobby, though I have no formal training in it. I own an 8" reflector telescope and some binoculars and enjoy looking for Deep Sky Objects (DSO). I'm a Bible-believing Christian and take a biblical view of creation. I'm a veteran, married once and still to the same woman for 27 years. We have one son, who is serving in the Army, and of whom we are immensely proud. I learned of SETI@home while reading the "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Astronomy" and enjoy learning about it during cloudy nights, of which we have many here. |

| I run SETI@home because I am curious as to what is out there. I think the project has merit. As the T-Shirt says: either there is something out there, or there is not; either is mind-boggling. |
