Personal background
I've always been deeply interested in the future and what it has to offer for the human race.

I am a devoted "Star Trek" freak [trekie] and I'm mindful of the ideals that go with being a trekie. Utopia sounds great for me!

My vision of the future is obviously far different to most people. I believe that in the future there will be better customer service, less wars, less illness, more food for the hungry, less poverty, better everything [cars, planes, etc.] and, less stress in everyone's life.

My first computer was an Amstrad 512PPC Laptop. Now I have a P/B I-Extreme with Windows ME & P/B I-Media with Windows XP.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I think that with S.E.T.I.'s commitment to searching for extraterrestrial life, we will sooner rather than later find an answer to the question of other life on other planets.

To me the S.E.T.I project is one of great importance. If humans don't transmit a beacon, how else are we to advertise ourselves to a curious universe? However, I feel we should be sending all positives to other races, deleting any negatives from the major equation of our little lives and especially all of the wars, racial tensions, union disputes, religious and political propaganda. Hopefully then we would receive some sort of response from someone out there.
