Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life, in my opinion, exists. Intelligent extraterrestrial life is truely the question to ask.

In the vast distances of space there must be some form of life, bacteria to super intelligent civilizations, anything is possible out there.

Another large question to ask is, if we conquer space, and find life, explore the galaxies, generally grasp true knowledge of this plane of existence, what is beyond that? How big is space, and if you were on the boundary of it what would you see beyond it?

Directionalized beams of information about our culture/location, transmitted towards, or at specific targets which had suspected life would be worth the effort I believe.

I run SETI@home because it makes me feel like I am helping to get to the bottom of the debate on extraterrestrial life. I also feel that science in general benefits from these experiments with networking and clustering computers. We could use this system for many things to come.
