| Personal background |
Born: Roswell, NM 1945 (with the bomb)
Died: (tbd)
When I was 12 I wanted to be a physicist, but my math skills ran out sometime during quadratic equations. I became a newspaper reporter, a wandering minstrel, a ham radio geek, a bartender, and eventually a phone company nerd and UNIX sys admin. I retired early, in 1998. These days I work part-time and play bass occasionally with a local band. I live with my partner and her young son, plus three dogs and four cats. (I’d put the cats in Schrödinger boxes, but I’m trying to be a good Buddhist.)
I’m currently crunching for three @home projects; SETI, Cosmology, and Einstein. I use two PCs; a 2-core and a singleton, both AMD, running XP. (Better dead than Vista!)
Seriously, I’m excited and grateful to be able to contribute to real science in this small way.

| I'm just glad to be here, and do what I can to help the team. |
