| I'm 38 the proud father of a 6 year old daughter and a 2year son, I have not stopped smiling since they came into my life. I've have switched computer occupations since I began using SETI a few times. I do computer support for a University in Canada and in charge of many different departments and 7 seperate computer labs. I always had a love for the stars as far back as I can remember so astronomy is one of my hobbies, so is playing SEIV but that's different story. |

One of the biggest things in my life has been my belief that there has to be other races in our galaxy. I find it hard to believe that our existance is the only one that has even risen to this point of inteligence. One day in the future I firmly believe that we will encounter the evidence of another race. Or they would encounter us, Earth is a great transmiting a beacon, the first radio signels were super strong, alot stronger than we currently send out from the radio towers. Our message will not be an organized message but it does sent one important message that hopefully other worlds would understand "An inteligent race exists, We are here." I run SETI@home for the main point of hoping to help find evidence of another race sending the same message that we do. I run it on both my laptops and in some of the computer labs I support. While the systems are not being used I might as well put them to good use other than just waisting CPU cycles.
