Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The possibility of finding intelligent life on other planets with the same mind set as us would be like winning the loto. There are no other life forms on this planet that share a world view like humans, but there is a great deal of diverse life here on earth. Because of that the chances of life existing on other planets is probably for sure. Intelligent life is different and more than likely it is rare. Even among humans it's rare.

But this type of project is about the best parts of what we are and it is nice to participate. If we succeed that is great.
