My name is Ray. I am a nurse from Texas whose hobbies include reading, fishing, swimming, concerts, boxing, astronomy, and enjoying life. I felt this was a worthwhile project since when I am at work the computer is idle. Good to see others taking interest.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I run the program because it helps us better understand space. It isn't necessarily the search for ET that might be the big payoff. Maybe there will be a spin off that will benefit science. The universe if full of mysteries. Of course, it would be great to hear a benevolent signal not originating from Earth, but in the meantime we can keep our ears open and listen and learn. |
