Personal background
Hi out there!

The ability to provide the unused time slots of my CPU for available for projects of others, was the door to a new world for me in 1999.

As a fan of Carl Sagan and the work of Adams, Asimov, Bradbury, Foster and so on, I am from the start a member of the SETI@home project.

Unfortunately, my first account was lost because I got no access to the associated mail account in 2008. So I share my resources since 2008 with this account.

In 2011 I created the WOW-Event for my Team SETI-Germany, to give worldwide the SETI@home project more attractive again.

I thank the SETI@home team for the development of BOINC and the perseverance to want to continue working.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
“There must be some way out of here,” said the joker to the thief
“There’s too much confusion, I can’t get no relief
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth”

“No reason to get excited,” the thief, he kindly spoke
“There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke
But you and I, we’ve been through that, and this is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late”

All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too

Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl
