Personal background
My name is Robert Sclesky i am currently employed via the National Guard as a UH-60 Blackhawk mechanic (Weekend Warrior) if you will. I came across this program through one of my good friends, basicaly i saw the screen saver and thought to myself "how do i get something like that" i inqured about it and come t find out it actually serves a purpose other than it just looks cool. i really havent ventured too far onto the other servers other than seti@home but im open i guess. As for hobbies i recently started venturing into home electronics as far as small circiuts with a radioshack kit that i bought. cant say it was a bad purchase but for almost $80 i think i could have spent my money more wisely. I haver also been venturing int a website called makezine.com i believe thats what the url is, but anywho it covers alot of very interesting projects that are not only cool but functional as well. Currently i am 21 years old and trying to make it in "the real world" if you will. "Success" is that what they call it... still waiting for my life choices to meet up with me, Im finding it increasingly harder to find employment other than the Army and to say the least its discouraging.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that this is a great program... it gives people the gratification of knowing that they helped out in a cause that is greater than them.
