I have always been interested in the idea of life beyond our simple planet. To think that we are the only sentient beings in the universe is pompous and arrogant. We cannot be alone.
Ever since watching Carl Sagan's Cosmos and reading Contact (long before the movie) I have been fascinated with the prospect of contact with beings beyond our world.
