Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it would be strange if extreterrestrial life didn't exist
It doesn't make sense to me that only 1 tiny planet the the whole cosmos would have life.

The main danger of discovering extra terestrial life, I feel, would be created by preconceptions. If sentient life is found there is no way to know if they are friendly or hostile. If we jump to the side of other, we risk problems. As a race I think the best thing we can do is to analise it objectivly and explore the options from there.

I agree with the suggestions of a beacon, if there is friendly alien life out there, they could be looking too.

I run seti@home is a great project to be part of. It's a nice idea that any one of us running it, could help answer the question "are we alone"
