Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Why do you run SETI@home?
I remember stumbling across this project a number of years ago. Honestly, I didn't understand it at the time. I was re-introduced to the concept by an Astronomy teacher while working on my degree in Philosophy. I run SETI@home because I believe it is a very easy way for me to contribute to research I wish I could play a larger part in.

2. What are your views about the project?
I am a firm believer in, "WE can do what I cannot." There are numerous things in this world that one person, one team, one computer (etc.) cannot do by itself. When we band together, we can do more than the sum of the individuals.

3. Any suggestions?
To anyone reading this - think, remember, reflect, enjoy. If you turn SETI@home off, remember to turn it back on. If you decide you don't want to run the software anymore, think back to a time when you enjoyed it. Remember why you started in the first place. If you've given all you have to give, remember that and give yourself credit. If you're out at work, and your home computer is running SETI@home while you're away, think about it from time to time. I think it's fun that my computer is doing stuff even when I'm not sitting in front of it. And enjoy! It's fun to be part of the larger picture.
