if i wanted anything it would be to be a pikka bird :
"the pikka birds tended to be amazed by completely different things.A perfectly ordinary leaf lying unexpectedly on a stone would cause them to skitter off in paroxysms of confusion; sunrise took them completely by surprise every morning, but the arrival of an alien space craft from another world simply failed to engage any part of their attention." - Arthur Dent in Mostly Harmless
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
i think out new things to do every day (sometimes every hour) and forget to do the ones i thought out the day before. by running seti i hope to generate some sort of order in my life. like a rock or and anchor. to me it's like feeding the cat or watering the plants, except seti can't die.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
