Personal background
Hey,

Fist off, I'd like to introduce myself... I'm Cody... There, now that we have that off of our backs, I'd like to invite you to join my world of mixed and.or conflicting interests, and seemingly maniacal plans to conquer the earth. I am an avid science fiction reader, as well as a musician who plays numerous instruments; although, I will admit, some sound better than others. Currently, I am a sales associate at radioshack. If you are reading THIS particular profile, on THIS particular page page, I am going to go out on a limb and assume that you've been there once or twice. I'd just like to say (for the record), that I'm sorry we don't carry 2k Ω resistors. I know, I know, I think it is stupid, too. Luckily, though, two 1k will suit your purposes fine.

Also, I am a motorcyclist (my beast is an 83 Yamaha Virago, (WooHoo!)), I spend as much time as I can on my bike. It just so happens that where I live, About half of the year, To ride would be to knowingly commit suicide.

If you've read this far, I am so sorry for having bored you... and welcome you to go on your merry way, whether it be to My thoughts on SETI, or the local Italian food restaurant.

Good luck and God speed,

-Cody
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI simply to compare the amount of computing power I can muster with that of my peers, And to lend my idle processor cycles to *something* even quasi-meaningful. I most definitely do not, as my team page so blandly states, "do it for the lulz".

My views of the project are as follows: Chances are I'm not going to find anything, but boy howdy... Wouldn't it be a helluva trip to be the one to find a message sent by a dying civilization some millenia ago? (Yeah, yeah, Straight out of Star-Trek, or maybe some out-dated but still loved Science fiction paperback)

And lastly, My only suggestion for the SETI project would be to hire someone to sit on a golden throne and be fed only the finest grapes by scantily clad virgins. Also, this man's name should start with "C", which is followed by the letters "O", "D", and "Y". Just a thought, though...
