Personal background
I am not willing to join other groups. Please don't ask me to.

I am a Customer Support Engineer in the Durban office of Hewlett-Packard South Africa. I specialise in network security. I was running SETI on 14 PA-RISC HP9000 servers CPUs, but those systems were decommissioned, and on one lonely INTEL Pentium CPU system located in Cape Town, which was shutdown in March 2005.

I will be restarting with BOINC on a few Linux systems, and my daughters Wintel PC.

I am an inactive amateur radio operator (Ham), with callsign ZR5UW.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have no idea if there is life out there, but certainly am happy to allow CPUs under my care to be used for the search.
