I Used to run seti a few years ago. I find the thought of US being alone in the universe a very perverse idea. The thought of us being alone is so un-imaginable. The combined use of many personal computers, now the community is the equivalent of the IBM Blue super-computer, makes this project a meaningful experiment in the open.
