I'd be perfect if only I wasn't so damn modest! |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1.) A started SETI@home in 2000 to help in the search and I figure I may as well keep my lazy ass computer from being idle.
2.) Distributed computing is an awesome idea, just needs more application, also I'd love to help discover the undiscovered.
3.) I love the screensaver but I'd also love a breakdown of exactly what we are looking for such as what range of gausians are significant etc, and to see visually, areas of interest, possible anomalies etc. i.e. some results displayed on a sky map and possibly show what areas have already been processed. |
