Profile: Mr. Chill

Personal background
I am a 50 year old male from Stockton California. 1976 to 1980 United States Air Force veteran. I was stationed in Zweibrucken Germany and my AFSC was 46170 a Munitions Systems Specialist. After my separation from the service I became a mechanic for Goodyear Tire Centers and Service Manager for the next 20 years. Wanting a change I trained as a Commercial Truck Driver and currently hold a CDL in California with double, triple, tanker, and HAZMAT certifications. I design websites under the business name, CHILLSITEDESIGNS.COM. I'm married and have 7 children, hers mine and ours. 4 girls, one at home, and 3 boys, two at home. My wife shares my fascination with all things extraterrestrial and we both love Carl Sagan. I ride a Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 and as soon as I can I'll post pics of it and my wonderful family.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I was raised on a small island in California's Central Valley Delta with no electricity or running water and once a night my father would fire up the generator and we would watch TV for an hour or so, the show that just happened to be on during those brief dalliances with technology.....Carl Sagan's Cosmos! I was, like so many others, hooked. Cosmos runs now on a continuous loop in my home, a kind of 13 hour screensaver. I know, obsessive. SETI@HOME is the most worthwhile use of personal computers that I can possibly think of. If I can be even a small part of the most profound discovery since the existence of man, I'm there!
