Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI to put my computer to use while I am not on it. Like most Americans with computers I work during the day. I don't turn off the computer so when I am away from it I have it run SETI@home.
I think this project is an exceptional use of computing power.
I would like to have a BOINC program that can run off of a flash drive. This way I can have it running on my work computer when I am not there.
