Profile: Peter Csizmadia

Personal background
I'm a 39-yr-old self-employed jack of all trades -- so long as the trade in question has to do with numbers or logic. I live in Toronto, Canada and have been married (and divorced) twice. I have a beautiful 8-yr-old daughter from my first marriage and a beautiful Doberman from my second marriage. While unlike many of you I don't have an entire army of PCs at my beck and call, each member of my humble little triumvirate of home PCs happily offers as much processing power as possible to this worthy cause.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Ever since reading Cosmos in high school, I have been fascinated by Carl Sagan and his work. I remember seeing the series on television, buying the LP of the series soundtrack and playing it until it sounded scratchier than a 1947 recording of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata my mother used to play for my sister and I as a lullaby. But I digress. I was a member of the Planetary Society and when I found out about SETI@home I jumped at the opportunity to participate. Imagine! A planet-wide network of computers all lending their collective processing power to SETI! How could I not join the fray?? And so ... here I am.
