Personal background
My typical specs: Male, 36 (08/70), Married, Blah, Blah, Blah....

I like watching movies of all types, all genres, all times. You would be surprised how often you can find a great movie that has no color, no explosions and/or no vulgarity in them. The kind of movies that actually have a plot and dialogue. Hehehe. My wife is my life and we are trying to get pregnant. Wish us luck. :-)

I work as the Head of IT at a marketing Firm here in Tampa, FL. Small network. 34 systems and we are looking to double that size within this next year. It's lots of fun seeing as how the people that are hired to work here have about as much experience and knowledge with computers as a moose has with the Space Shuttle.

That's about the major points of interest in my life right now, but if anyone has any questions about me or becoming a ePen-Pal, lemme know - blacksheep1379@yahoo.com.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run Seti@Home to help. I think that the search for ET is a good cause. I think that even though we may never find and/or ommunicate with an ET's in our lifetime someone has to start the message. We have been broadcasting into space for years, both on purpose and not, so there may be someone/something picking up our signals and earning about us. I think we should reach out and do the same. Also, the discovery and exploration of our Universe to possibly help with our own future interests me. Being able to travel and colonize other planets someday, and starting today by taking these first baby steps, isn't science fiction anymore. Not with the way that technology is advancing. Sooner or later, I feel that we, as a race of humans, are going to have to leave this planet for one reason or another, and try to start over somewhere else. So why not get the ball rolling now and as quickly as possible. And if that means donating my CPU and some electricity to the cause, then so be it.

I guess that kind of answers the second question as well.

My suggestions? Just keep it simple. Keep the program and how to use it as simple as possible but make it entertaining. Let the End User see more than just a bunch of lines and some coordinates that they have no idea what they mean. Entertaining and educational. Maybe have attached to the program some pop-up trivia and or facts and figures about space, science, the universe, stars planets, earth, whatever. Anything and everything, including the people that are attached to this project. Have fun with it. Let the people Participate. Let the people Help. Let the people Learn. Let the people Enjoy.
