Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home?

Well, I have always enjoyed Astronomy and group projects. I find SETI an exciting addition to my many hobbies and projects; The fact that I am sharing my "bandwidth" that will assist scientists with the possible discovery of extra-terrestrial life not only evokes the feeling that "we are not alone" but is "fulfilling" as well.

A project in particular that I participated in was eventually covered in Science Magazine's, April 11, 1997 edition. More information on my contribution can be seen at the group's website at http://www.rpochina.net. The RPO project was presented by Dr. Ji's to the Enhancing Astronomical Research and Education in Developing Countries, 23rd meeting of the IAU, Joint Discussion 20, 26 August 1997, Kyoto, Japan. The abstract can be viewed here -> http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1997IAUJD..20E..11K
