Personal background
While in the Army, I was trained in electronics & sent to Bangkok, Thailand. I got another job working in the Embassy as an air courier. I traveled quite a bit to exotic places like Rangoon, Burma & to Myanmar, Burma where I took a 6 day river trip up to Magway on the Ayeyawady River. Also traveled to Vientiane, Laos; Phnom Penh, Cambodia and various temple ruins; New Delhi and Taj Mahal India; Thimphu, Bhutan; Katmandu, Nepal; Multan to Peshawar, Pakistan and through the Kyber pass into Afghanistan to the cities of Jalalabad and Kabul; Naha City, Okinawa; Manila, Angeles City and Olongapo, Philippines; Taipei Taiwan; Singapore and Panang island Malaysia; Hong Kong and Macao. In Thailand, Korat, Chang Mai, Chang Ri, Udorn, Ubon, Sattahip, Pattaya beach and Ayuttahya - the ancient capitol of Thailand.

With 4 yrs in Viet Nam, I saw more of that place than I really wanted to. I suffered major injuries & I’ve beaten the PTS & I don’t drink anymore.

Between assignments in Southeast Asia, I spent 2 years in Asmara, Ethiopia. On the way to Ethiopia in 70, I spent a week each in Madrid, Rome, Athens and Istanbul. I drove from Asmara to Nairobi & Mombassa, Kenya. On another trip, I drove from Asmara thru Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Malawi to Lake Victoria & saw Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe & Zambia. (that’s 4000 miles 1 way). On the next trip, I drove to Khartoum, Sudan. Took 2 flying trips, 1 to Egypt to see the Grate Pyramids & to Jordan to see Petra. While in Asmara, I went hunting on 10 occasions to the Meckali valley near Axum, Queen of Sheba country. Went fishing on the White Nile River, too.

Upon ETS, I’ve worked as a gamming machine technician. & I started my own company. Medical benefits are important, so I continue to work. I worked for SAIC until this job at UNLV. I’m a R&D tech for the Mechanical Eng. Dept.

I like to travel. In the past 5 years we’ve been to every National Park in the western 11 states and into Canada. I also like the south coast of Oregon, Bandon to Bro
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Is there any ET’s out there? We gotta look n see. My mind can't comprehend the possible benefits, but I do have a concern that they may be hostile, so we should procede with due caution.

2. yes I believe we should send some sort of a "signal" that will let them know that there are other beings in this world.

3. I run seti because I want to lend a hand and do my part and share computer time.
