Profile: CharonX

Personal background
I'm currently a science student at the University of Technology, Sydney. I'm 21 years old, and have always had a big interest in science. From an early age, I was mixing chemicals together in a chemistry kit my parents bought for me as a birthday present.

I'm also an avid reader, and frequently spend time with my nose in a book. I'll read anything quite frankly, though I have a special place in my heart for a good, well-written science fiction novel.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I use SETI@home to make use of otherwise-wasted processing power and CPU time that is available when I am not actively using my computers. It also allows me to feel as though I am a part of a wider community, and the concept of searching for extraterrestrial intelligence is of interest to me (I'm an avid reader of science fiction... perhaps that has something to do with it as well).
