Hi. I'm from London, UK and work in the city as an Equity Research Analyst. I've just bought a trusty new laptop so decided I'd whack on SETI@Home.
A big reason is to prove to my girlfriend (who doesn't believe intelligent life exists outside Earth - sheesh, girls huh?) that with the universe being so massive it would be silly to believe we're on our own.
But overall, it would be absolutely amazing beyond imagination to find we're not alone in the universe. I can't wait... :)
