Personal background
I am a angle lad born on the western coast of the USA. I am in the early 'middle-age' group now. Lover of technology and marvel at how it continues to help us humans become 'more'. I am a writer and book warm as well as gamer. My console platform of choice is the Playstation 3, but a good game is a good game in my book so I may end up with one or both of the other systems someday.
I mentioned that I am a book worm. I love sci-fi, fantasy, philosophy, world history, horror to say the least.
My writing I like to think touchs on many of those topics as well.
More may come when I realize that I could add more, ;-)
Cheers.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
When I first heard about SETI@home, I was wowed by the oppertunity for me, one outside of university or a research 'org', to participate in such an endevor. I have always known that there would be other lifeforms that we Humans might be able to commune with someday. This was an oppertunity to participate in forstering that inital connection. Yes, the screensaver (back in the day) was pretty cool and it would be cool if the packet of data my computer worked on contained part of the inital contact, but being a part of such a project, with many other 'true believers' as well was more then enough to get me to sign up.
