I live in the Great White North and was a Planetary Society member ages ago when they started up. I let the membership lax, but when I ran across the Seti@home idea got it on my Mac immediately. Of course, I lost access to it a couple years ago, and didn't know why. Now I do.
I still think it's the greatest idea for making use of computer inefficiencies for the betterment of whatever. As long as that's what it's used for, and not . . . . |
