My name is Bryce Salmi, I am an 18 year old Freshman at Rochester Institute of Technology. I am studying Electrical Engineering and hope to continue to my masters degree. I am a licensed Extra class amateur radio operator with the callsign KB1LQC. I also build electronics in my spare time as a hobby and enjoy many parts of radio and circuits. I am also an avid mountain biker and musician, I mainly play guitar but also a little bass and drums.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@HOME because I think it is a great way to allow the normal person with average resources to do a great deal of helping out in the search for ET's! I think the project will hopefully allow us to become more aware not only of possible or nearly certain existance of extra terrestrials. If we do not search we are being ignorant because with the outsourcing resources avilable to us it is very easy to do a huge amount of processing! I also believe it will give us a better understanding of the creation of the universe and where we stand as inhabitants.
