Personal background |
I'm a 29 year old Physics/Mathmatics Major at Virginia Commonwealth University. I've spent a large part of my life in the Military, hence my age completing my degree, and am absolutely fascinated by astrophysics. A friend told me about this website and it seems like a good idea since I leave my computer on most of the time and it just sits there doing nothing. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. It's a noble concept and an easy way to contribute to futher research and aid those researching.
2. It is a logical step.
3. I would propose that the administrators of this program make this program more visisble to the universities. Allot of college students have terminals that stay constantly connected to the web, I know this because I see them on aim at 3 am consistently. Whoever is the big cheese in charge should see if universities could send out an e-mail to the student body to make them aware of this. All major universities have students set up school e-mail accounts to pass information and utilize such systems as Black Board. This could be a great way to not only recruit more students into the realm of physics and related sciences, but also expand your use of more student computers to further your research. |
